Tanjung Priok, 24 September 2026 – PT Gapura Angkasa has prepared Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in the form of an Incapacitated Passenger Lift (IPL), or ambulift, to support the series of KRI Sriwijaya-100 activities at Pier 107, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta.

KRI Sriwijaya-100, formerly known as ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi, arrived in Indonesia on 18 September 2026. The series of activities will take place from September to October 2026, covering the ship’s reception and preparation, handover and commissioning, as well as the Sailing Pass.

To support the activities, Gapura Angkasa has carried out a range of preparations, including checking the condition and functionality of the IPL GSE, ensuring the readiness of personnel who will operate the unit, and conducting technical co-ordination related to the mobilisation and positioning of the equipment at the activity area.

All preparations have been carried out to ensure that the unit is operationally ready and able to support guests’ mobility requirements, while prioritising safety, security and operational efficiency.

Accessibility Support through IPL GSE

An IPL is a specialised vehicle equipped with a hydraulic lifting system and is commonly used in airport operations to assist passengers with reduced mobility, including wheelchair users and passengers requiring special assistance.

As part of the KRI Sriwijaya-100 activities, the IPL GSE has been prepared to support the accessibility and mobility of guests requiring special assistance at the activity area. The operation of the unit will be adjusted according to requirements and on-site conditions.

This support also demonstrates Gapura Angkasa’s capability to provide operational services and equipment that are adaptable to a wide range of requirements, not only for ground handling activities at airports but also for supporting specialised activities outside the airport environment.
