After two years of delay due to the pandemic global virus Covid-19, PT. Gapura Angkasa (Gapura) will return to handle Hajj flights in 2022.
PT. Gapura Angkasa also handled the flight of the first batch of pilgrims for Hajj embarkation from Padang with flight number GA3301 using the B777-300ER aircraft which was released by the Governor of West Sumatra.
Besides that, PT. Gapura Angkasa serves flights for prospective Hajj pilgrims from nine embarkations, namely Aceh, Kualanamu, Padang, Jakarta, Solo, Lombok, Balikpapan, Ujung Pandang and Banjarmasin, with a total of 216 flights, 132 groups and 48,051 pilgrims for 2022 Hajj.
PT. Gapura Angkasa prepared all ground support equipment (GSE) needed to support the smooth flight of prospective Hajj pilgrims.
