Gapura Angkasa Supports the Inaugural Charter Flight of PT Suba Air Perdana (Air One)

Tangerang, Sunday, 28 June 2026 — PT Gapura Angkasa once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering high-quality ground handling services by supporting the inaugural charter flight operation of PT Suba Air Perdana (Air One). As one of Indonesia’s leading ground handling providers, Gapura Angkasa plays a vital role in ensuring that every stage of aircraft operations is conducted safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The charter operation involved a Boeing 747-400 freighter, a wide-body aircraft capable of transporting large volumes of cargo. Handling an aircraft of this scale requires close coordination among operational personnel and the deployment of various Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Gapura Angkasa prepared a comprehensive range of operational resources, including the Build-Up and Breakdown Team (BTT) responsible for cargo loading and unloading activities, as well as heavy equipment such as the Main Deck Loader (MDL) and High Loader (HLL) used to transfer cargo pallets to and from the aircraft.

Additional supporting equipment, including PBS, CBL, and 40 cargo dollies, was also deployed to facilitate cargo movement across the apron area and ensure smooth operational processes.

Beyond operational readiness, safety remained the highest priority through the provision of safety cones, wheel chocks, and other essential safety equipment in accordance with established aviation standards.

The role of the Loading Master was particularly critical in ensuring that cargo weight distribution was properly arranged to maintain aircraft balance throughout the flight. Meanwhile, the Handsetman ensured effective communication among ground personnel, enabling loading activities to proceed seamlessly and efficiently.

With a total export cargo volume of 83.5 tonnes, the charter flight operation demonstrated Gapura Angkasa’s capability and readiness to handle large-scale cargo services.

Through the strong collaboration between Gapura Angkasa and PT Suba Air Perdana (Air One), the charter operation was carried out safely, punctually, and efficiently, reflecting the aviation industry's commitment to Safety, Security, and Service Excellence.
