Gapura Angkasa’s Role in Supporting the Departure and Return of the Presidential Aircraft of the Republic of Indonesia

Jakarta, 1 April 2026 — PT Gapura Angkasa ensured optimal service readiness in supporting the departure and return processes of the President of the Republic of Indonesia through Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.


During the President’s departure process, which took place on 29 March 2026 through Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, PT Gapura Angkasa provided VVIP services by deploying all the necessary Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required for handling the presidential aircraft. In addition, the arrangement of the blue carpet and the readiness of other supporting equipment were carried out to ensure the smoothness of all ground operations.


Meanwhile, for the President’s return through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, the PT Gapura Angkasa team once again conducted a comprehensive inspection of all GSE equipment to be utilised. For this flight, the President of the Republic of Indonesia travelled with Garuda Indonesia using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The Director of Operations of PT Gapura Angkasa, Capt. Ruli Wijaya, stated that operational readiness remains the company’s top priority in supporting the smooth execution of state flights.


“From inter-team coordination and area security to on-ground service readiness, every process is carried out to the highest operational standards to ensure that the entire flight operation proceeds smoothly, safely, and optimally,” said Capt. Ruli Wijaya.
